Accessing web page through command button

18
I have a wierd problem here:

Suppose I have a list of tutorials on thescripts.com. I have a form that lists each one and a command button which links to the site.

All the url's of the site starts with "http://www.thescripts.com/forum" and since so, I only put the preceeding url part in the db

The problem is, the command button's onClick event fires IE, finds the url, but gives that usual "Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage" message. But when the page is refreshed, gives the correct page.

Now why should my users have to face such a page and why need to refresh? how can I avoid this? I'm using IE 7.0 and Access 2002.

Thanks so much in advance

sorry forgot to put the code of on click event for the button:

Private Sub Command14_Click()
On Error GoTo Err_Command14_Click

Dim stAppName As String

stAppName = "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe http:/www.thescripts.com/forum/" & Me.short_url & "/"
Call Shell(stAppName, 1)

Exit_Command14_Click:
Exit Sub

Err_Command14_Click:
MsgBox Err.Description
Resume Exit_Command14_Click

End Sub

sorry, please disregard this thread.

found my mistake in:
stAppName = "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe http:/www.thescripts.com/forum/" & Me.short_url & "/"
Call Shell(stAppName, 1)
