Query input masks

Hello, We have a table with a formatted date field so that the '/' are automatically entered. We have created query based forms / reports which request an input date but are unable to format the entry. Any ideas please? Thanks

What do you mean? Like a parameter box?
Do you mean the results don't look how you want it?

When we run the report it opens a query and asks for the selection date. We have to enter the date including the '/'. We would like to format the selection in the query so taht we don't have to enter the '/'. I hope this is a bit clearer, thanks

Short of setting the parameter type to prevent non-date inputs, there is no way to use an input mask for the parameter box of a query.

You could, however, call the query from a form and the query retreives the date value from a textbox on the form that has an input mask.

Thanks for your help, I'll give it a go.

(Literal DateTimes and Their Delimiters (#).) may help if you're trying to use it in a query.
