TRIM

I want to remove all white spaces from the beginning and end of the
string.

I am using the following SQL code:

SELECT TRIM(' Sample ');

I am supposed to receive the following Result:

'Sample'

Instead, I receive the following Result:

'Sample '

Any sugestions how I can correct this?

SELECT "*" & ' Sample ' & "*"

Returns:
* Sample *
SELECT "*" & Trim(' Sample ') & "*";

Returns

*Sample*
Trim removes all trailing and leading spaces. It sounds to me as
though you don't have a space character at the end. You have some
sort of special character like a return character in there.
