Search Access Form

I have a customer table and form in access 2000. When I want to enter in a customers name, I am uncertain if that customer has already been entered. I want to have a field that I can type in the last name and have it search for that last name and display the first record of the match. Then I would like to continue the search for more instances of the same last name.
