Decompile?

How do you decompile an AccessXP database? Can it be done from some external
point without actually opening the database?

Thank you!

You could try opening another database and running this very old but should
still work code:

Public Sub Decompile(ByVal FullPath$)
Shell SysCmd(acSysCmdAccessDir) & "msaccess.exe " _
& Chr(34) & FullPath & Chr(34) _
& " /decompile", vbMaximizedFocus
End Sub

Sub test()
Decompile "C:\Documents and Settings\Lyle Fairfield\" _
& "My Documents\Access\northwind.mdb"
End Sub

The test sub opens northwind.mdb in a decompiled state.

Steve
"C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office 2003\OFFICE11\MSACCESS.EXE" "C:
\directory\northwind.mdb" /decompile

Use your path for MSACCESS and your path for the access db you want to
decompile.

This does leave the database open tho.
