sorting in a query

I'm pretty sure the answer to this is simple, but i can't seem to be able to get it to work,

I am making a student database, I have a query with 3 fields, and basically i want to sort the data twice. I want to sort it for the students' class, and then i want to sort it by student name. So essentially the list of students will be grouped by class and then by name.

This must be possible, and probably really simple, i just can't get it to work!

Any help will be gratefully received

cheers all!

You have to put class as the first field, sort by that, then put name as the second field and sort by that. Then you can have whatever fields you want after that.
