Validating Start and Finish Dates

P: 43
Hi All,

I have two fields in my table that need validating in regards to each other.

The field names are "TourStartDate" and "TourFinishDate"

"TourStartDate" is validated with >Date()

And I need to validate "TourFinishDate" so it is later or equal to the value in "TourStartDate"

Many thanks in advance for your help

many thanks for your post and i have tried that but it does not work and I just get an error message saying one or more values are prohibited by the expression '>"TourStartDate" set for...
I have tried all sorts of dates: before, after and the same date but to no avail.
Any ideas much appreicated.

Guess you can't use another column to validate a column. Looks like you'll have to do the check through code in a form.

I actually tried that, doesn't work. Something about not being able to use multiple columns to validate a column.

you didn't put the square brackets in your example rabbit and based on the error the OP got I don't think they did either.

Sorry Rabbit, didn't realise you'd tested it.
