Joining tables of mismatch type

5
Hi All,

I need to join two tables - one with details of assets with numeric location code and the other with details of user names with text location code ( number or full text ) so I can create a report of assets by user names. Is there any way I can convert the text location code of the staff table into a numeric code ( selecting those with numbers only ) and join the the asset table ?

Or, should I need to create another staff table by converting the text location code into a numeric location code ( ignoring values that are not numbers ) ? and use this new table to join with the asset table ?

Please help.

Thanks,

Val([Text Field])
If it only has numbers, it'll convert it. If it has non-numbers, it returns 0.
