Ms Access Data Storing Problem

could any one help me how to
set properties to get decimal values in MS access
when i am giving 42.23 it is stroing 42 nearest round off value
i changed data type (number to decimal) and tried with keeping deciaml places as 2 also but no result and also changed with Genral to fixed and vice-versa.
do anyone having idea ..?

This should Format all Numbers to 2 Decimal Places
Data Type: Number
Field Size: Single
Decimal Places: 2
Format: #,###.00
