Value list relationship in table and forms

P: 1
I added some items to my value list in a table but I noticed the value list in the form did not get updated. Why is that? I would have figured they would have a relationship. It is a music database where I have a column labled "Genre" and a combo box with a drop down menu (value list) of different music genres. I added a few more to the list in the table. Does it not automatically update the value list in the form? Please help me! Also keep in mind I am not very proficient in Access so it could be something basic that I don't understand. I look forward to your help.

Not sure why this has happened but if you delete the control from the form and then redrag it off the field list it should run alright.

It depends on when and how you are adding the extra items.
A Requery of the ComboBox control may do the trick or following Mary's advice may well too.
Also, in your post, you say that you're using a Value List. This is not a wrong thing to do, but would make the question even more confusing as it seems to contradict other things you've said. Let's hope the earlier suggestions work for you.
