# Calculate Percentage Error

 P: 55 Dear Friends, I am using the method to cal. percentage in report but no sucess it gives #Num! instead of a number. I am following the steps as given in help to calculate percentage value on a report. Can some one please help me about this issue ? Feb 15 '07 #1

 P: 55 I am using a 2003 version of DB and i need to calculate the percentages in subgroups , i have sum of qty in group footer , grand total in report footer and i am calculating % in group footer using the following syntax in cntrol source for the % textbox: =[Sum]/[GrandTotal] and it doesn't show me anything in the percentge box when i close the design view. If you have calculated textbox Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers =Sum([Qty]) in the report footer you can't use this as a basis for another calculation. However if your percent textbox control is also in the report footer then. Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers =Sum([Qty])/[GrandTotal] If GrandTotal is also calculated you will need to use the full calculation for that also. Mary Feb 15 '07 #4
