From Word Document to Memo field

Re: Access 2003/Word 2003

I have about 100 motivational documents that I am wanting to import
into a small database and put a front end on it that would allow the
user to select one, read it and print it.
Some of these original documents have bold formatting, a picture, and
some italics.

To try and preserve the original formatting would it be better to
reference the actual Word document object on the hard drive and
display it that way? If so, what is the best way to load a Word
document into a form to display it? Is there a special object I need
to place on my form to display and/or print the original document from
Access? (an example of codde would be great if you have one, as I
have not interfaced Word with Access before)

I tried this and it did not work:
I placed all of the text from 2 of the 100 documents in a memo field
in a table inside the mdb file and just set the form's data source to
my table. The formatting was lost when I displayed the memo field
text on my form. Is reformatting the document in the report object
the only way to retain and/or restore the original formatting of the
text?

Thanks for your assistance.

Why not store links to Read-Only files and let Word open them?
