Scrollbars disappear in MDE

I can't imagine I'm the first to experience this, but Google searches in all
access newsgroups have produced nothing.

Access 2003/WinXP

After creating an MDE for my app, not only are there no scrollbars for the
MDI (main Access "container" window), there are also no scrollbars for the
forms I've created - even though I've set scrollbars to "Both" in each
form's property window. When opening the MDB, regardless of screen
resolution, the scrollbars are there, but not so for the MDE.

I know I messed up by not designing my forms on the lowest screen
resolution, and will pay my price either by writing resizing code or going
back and redesigning the forms. But I was hoping someone could shed some
light on the MDE/MDB scrollbar behavior - if not for my benefit, then for
the next poor sap who spends hours Googling for an answer!

I have 2003 MDE's and have not had that scroll bar problem. Try creating a
small test mdb/mde and see if the problem is persistent or only with that
one app. If all else fails: http://www.peterssoftware.com has an affordable
and fairly easy to implement form/control sizing add-in tool.

I can't help you exactly on this as I don't remember what the remedy
was, but I definitely encountered exactly this before with A2003. I
seem to recall it was in subforms that I encountered this.

Other than a suggestion to shut off and restart the computer and
decompile properly (read David Fenton's instructions on decompile here
http://tinyurl.com/yohdls ), I'm afraid can't offer anything except to
let you know it's happened to at least one other person.
