Date in a field

P: n/a
rwd
I would like to put the current date in to a field. I have tried the
=Day() function as well as the Ctr + ; (which gives me an error).
Also when I try to run a report of all records entered that day I get
an error that tells me the date function is wrong. I must have not
set up the field correctly, but I don't know how to fix it.
