Duplicates in Combo Boxes

P: 27
OK, I really don't know how to figure this one out; I have a form (tblOrderLine) in which users can select products (from tblProducts) and enter a quantity; however, there are different types of products (mobile phones and MP3 players), so i have a combo box that (combo129) that is linked to the field Producttype (in tblProducts) however it displays like this:

mobile phone
mobile phone
mobile phone
mobile phone
mobile phone
MP3 player
MP3 player
MP3 player
MP3 player

I have tried adding DISTINCT after select in the row source, it doesn't work, any reason why?

Also, how would i then filter the next combo box (combo68) to only include the product type that is selected in the previous one?
If you need any more info, jus ask :-) thanks in advance!

It seems as though you nedd a Multi-Column Combo Box to further refine your various types of Products.

It looks like you already have a multi-column ComboBox here and you are returning the column you're not intersted in. Your Bound Column property for the control should be set to the column you're interested in.
See your other thread (Filtering Combo Boxes/ No Duplicates) for filtering the datasets.
