password problem

hi all !

i have developed a database for a client which is working fine ,
however another developer has sold another database to this client and
in this database the developer has inserted some type of code to ask
for a password everytime the database is opened.
the problem is that they have set it up somehow to ask for the
password everytime MS Access is opened so it asks for a password when
my database opens even though i have not set up a password at all.
this is a source of trouble to my client because my database also
connects to another database that i also designed so everytime the
client moves from one section to the next he has to enter a password.
how can i turn off the password for my database ??

thanks

The other developer has likely changed the default workgroup to his custom
one. More alarmingly, he may have modified the default "system.mdw". Your
client needs to get Access back into the default setup whereby "system.mdw"
is pristine and unmodified and it is set as the default workgroup. They can
then switch to any custom workgroup on a session-by-session basis using the
"/wrkgrp" command line switch in a shortcut.
