have the same limitations?

From Microsoft's web site...

Q: Are there plans to enhance the 2 GB database size limit in Visual FoxPro?

A: The 2 GB limit is per table, not per database. We do not have any plans to
extend the 2 GB table size limit in Visual FoxPro due to many reasons including
the 32-bit architecture that already exists within the product. For large,
scalable databases we recommend SQL Server 2005.

In addition to what Rick provided, Access is a development
system that works with many different database engines, many
that do not have the 2GB limit of the (default) Jet engine.

Even if you are using the Jet db engine, Access can link to
tables in many different back end databases. This means
that you could go to the ridiculous extreme (no referential
integrity) of placing every table in a separate database.
