Multiple Selections from List Box

Here is what I want to be able to do. I want to be able to select multiple defects from a list of defects to have pulled into the database. I have a table listing the possible defects. I want the operators to be able to select multiple defects from the list if that is what they encounter. Rarely do we find just one defect. This is for finetuning the NCR database I was buggin everyone about during December when I was building the system.

I could be wrong depending on exactly what you are trying to do, but have you gone into the properties of the List Box and enabled Multi Select property? That should allow you to select more than one entry within the List Box.

As the previous poster said ...

Create a listbox based on the table. Set the Multi select property of the listbox to simple or extended (Simple is probably best)

You then need a For .. Loop to manage the selection. You will find a sample on this thread.

Another option is to add a YesNo field (YN) to table with the list of defects (tblLOD).
In the form's OnOpen event you code:

currentdb.execute ("Update tblLOD set YN=False")

Now when the checkboxes are set use behind a button:

currentdb.execute ("INSERT INTO tblTarget (select * from tblLOD where YN=True)")
