any way to test this to see if this input really works?

I need to set up an entry field of 00:00 AM
medium date but they always want it to be AM.
So I tried this 99:00 >"AM";;_
yep it puts the data in the field defined as date time
and you get something like 09:10 AM
but is this really a stored time that you can calc on?
Don't know why they have to have it as AM only but that is what
they want.
I have no need for anything right now but I know in the future
they will want something. LOL

"Tried this" where, in what context?

Depends on what you want -- it is a valid date/time. My guess is that if you
display it in a full date/time format, you may be a little surprised at the
date. It is not the way to store a quantity of time in hours and minutes...
date/time represents a point in time, not a quantity.

And, as you close by indicating you have no question, I'm relieved, because
I couldn't puzzle out just what you were asking, much less what you were
describing. So, no question, no answer. Have a good day.

Well "they" had it as a short time but WHY do I have to type in AM
when everything we do on this is AM.

os I thought if I changed the short time from 99:00 >LL to
this 99:00\ >" AM";;_

that they would NOT have to put in all that work. They may do this 2-3
times a day.

then I thought well maybe this will no longer be a valid time. and if
someone in the future tried to do some datedif or something (for what
I have no idea) then it would just be a string and not a true
date/time.
