Formatting Datetime Field into Date column and Time column

I am trying to display my verified_datetime field into 2 different
columns (1 for Date, and 1 for Time). Using this query returns
nothing.

Format ([verified_datetime], "mm/dd/yy") AND
Format ([verified_datetime], "hh:mm")

I then would like to filter anything between the hours of 5:00 PM and
8:00 AM but am hitting a roadblock there as well. Any help would be
greatly appreciated.

Where are you writing this? In the query editor or in code?

I've tried both Designer and SQL Views.

SELECT verified_datetime, Format([verified_datetime],"mm/dd/yy") AS
DatePart,
Format([verified_datetime],"Short Time") AS TimePart
FROM tbldatetime
WHERE Hour([verified_datetime]) Between 8 And 17;

Cheers,
Jason Lepack
