That all depends on the structure of the tables and whether you're using a query and/or a form.

I'm interested to hear if it's even possible in a single SQL query.

You could place 2 hidden ado controls, place hidden text boxes and bind them to the 2 different tables, populate the textboxes, then write to the 2 different tables using the 2 ado controls
