Help with search record button

Hi, let me 1st explain what I am doing with my access. I have a list of people that buy off me and when my workers fill out the forms we got it set to lock/hidden each person once they been updated.

I am looking for a way to make a button to search the Table I use and find the the record by the phone number from inside of the form I am on and show the info. I have tryed many ways to get this work but I keep messing it up.

Its hard to explain but I hope this helps and I hope someone can give me some info on how to get this started.

Thanks

Normally I would use a field in the table like DateProcessed to indicate that that order has been processed. When you make a form with the orders as a datasheet subform and sort that on DateProcessed, the not processed ones will show with an ascending sort and the last processed ones with a descending sort.

For finding a specific record you can place a new combobox for the phonenumber on your form and use the third (Search) option of the combobox wizard. This will enable you to type the phonenumber and jump to that specific record.
