Access VBA crash on compile when altering a procedure

P: 2
Occasionally when altering a procedure in VBA, Access 2003 crashes when I click the compile button. This happens until I change the name of the procedure and save the module. Then I can change the name back again and it compiles fine.

Does anyone know why this would happen, or is it a bug?

Thanks

It sounds like one of a number of glitches in the software.

Check to see if MS have issued a patch for this software.

That's a good point Mary.
Are you keeping you MS Office software up-to-date by using the 'Microsoft Update' web site?

Thanks for your suggestions. I'm using a work pc and they distribute updates regularly through the network but I'll check whether there are any patches available for this particular problem.
