MS Access Security!

P: 2
Hi All,

I have success fully created a login script for Access 2003, but the information that i am looking for is that

1. To give admin & user access
-- User = read / write (should not be able to delete or update information on the d-base)
-- Admin = complete access

I am aware that i can create security settings on tools -> Security!! but i dont want that to happen!!

The settings need to be got on the form (login information its-self) table created

2. The user name should be displayed on the form (main) and should be stored in the table!

I sort of get what you're saying (I think).
What I don't understand is what you want help with. I don't think it's reasonable to ask for a whole security unit to be designed for you.
Which part are you having trouble with?

On the security part, that has been figured out, will be using the MS access security its-self...... as writing a whole code is teadious :-(,

in the second challenge that i a facing is that,

After a USER has logged into the D-base with his user ID and password,

1. Would it be possible to DISPLAY his/her name on the FORM. (read only)
2. The name should be saved when the data is getting saved in a table (that is linked)

can some one help me on step by step procedure on this please.

Can you please mail me at navrichard2002 at yahoo dot com

You could try using :
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. Workspaces(0).UserName
I don't ever use that myself as I use the Network logon.
