Pivot tables and no totals

P: n/a
Hi

I have a simple requirement to turn a query results into a pivot table

The query results are:
EID Name Service
1 Terry Books
1 Terry Shops
2 John Books
2 John Phone

Want it to look like this:
EID Name Books Shops Phone
1 Terry YES YES
2 John YES
YES

Unfortunately couldn't write it like SQL Server (i.e. in SQL with a
case statement).

I had to use MS Access's pivot table view.

I got it to work EXCEPT it adds an extra summary row (Total) which is
blank.
I've switched off totaling.

Annoying because get a blank row everytime.

EID Name Totals Books Shops
Phone
1 Terry Nototals YES YES
Total NoTotals
2 John Nototals YES
YES
Total Nototals

Last bit should read
EID Name Totals Books Shops Phone
1 Terry Nototals YES YES
Total NoTotals
2 John Nototals YES YES
Total Nototals

If I remove ID and show ONE field i.e concatenate Name + ID e.g.
Terry(1) and John(2) I get rid of Nototals..

Any ideas
