Loop through folder files in a particular order

P: n/a
I'm using DIR to loop through files in a folder and it's working fine.
But can I control the order of the looping. For example, the first
file would be the file with the most recent Date Modified or
vice-versa. Or what if I want to loop through the files based on
alphabetical order?

Is there a way to do this. Right now it looks like with Dir, the
looping is by Date Modified Asc by default.

Thanks.

No, but you can sort the results collected with Dir.
