Beginner in Access can someone help me

hi dear ,
i hav read many solutions on ur website they were very good but as i hav just started to work on access and i dont have any idea about access i m using access 2000 . firstly i would like to know how to open an application file of access in access.there is a program coded in access i want to view its coding.as it is working on network of 3 computers runnign windows xp media centre XP SP II .the programs takes a lot of time to open i want to sort this out and the programer who coded this is not in touch i cannot find where he is so i came on the net and joined this site.
so i would be thankful if i can hav some solution for this

Try holding down the shift key when you open the app.

...And when the database has opened, hit Alt-F11 to switch to the VBA Code window.
