pdf report

Hi,

i read an interesting article to print an access-report and save into an
pdf-file. (http://www.excelguru.ca/node/68)

I use ac2000 but it he does't recognize the pdfcreator. The printer is
installed and is the selected printer of the report .
I wonder if i need some specific reference to achieve this.

regards,Pol

Several questions, if I may.
1 Have you downloaded and installed PDFCreator?
2 Have you set a reference to PDFCreator in the references?
3 Have you changed the report name
and 4 Have you changed the path name?

You need to set a reference to PDFCreator in the references first. Go
to modules. Click on new or design, it don't matter which. Click on
tools. Click on references. You will be presented with a drop down box.
Scroll down to PDFCreator in the list. Check the box and click OK. Now
run the sub again.

Why not try Stephen Lebans ReportToPDF utility. It works brilliantly and no PDF
drivers / printers are required. See -

Hi,
it's a very usefull tip. thankx,
I'am just strubling with the fact that i want to save the pdf report without
any handling of the custumer. The filename is the name of a public Variable
"varFactid" with the extension pdf. The fileshowdialog must been stay hidden
to prevent an incorrect filename.
Will you show where i have to put this variable into the code ?
grtz, Pol

Hi again
a next problem turn on eg the reeiver can change the new pdf-file.
I will send the custemer new pdf-file , made in access, but the receiver may
not have the possibilty to change the pdf-file .
Perhaps i can give the pdf -file a password to write instruction, an no
password to simply read & print the pdf.. Is there somewhere a place into
the code where i can achieve this ?

grtz pol
