Is it possible to have Access open forms at the size I want them to??

Hi again,
would appreciate any assistance with getting forms to view at the correct size. (Win XP Pro SP2, MS Access 2003)

I have a tabbed form that I open in Maximized view and that's the way I want it to.

I also have another form that I do not wish to have open Maximized, yet every time that other form opens it is in maximized view.
How can I make it so that it will open at the size I created it rather than maximized please?

I have seen a few articles refering to the Win API but is there any other way as the API is way beyond me. It would seem to me that there should just be properties such as width, height etc that you could set via code, but as yet I have not come across much.
I did try entering height and width values but when the form opened it still just opened maximized.

My screen resolution is at default for the panel of 1400 X 1050 and I have large fonts enabled 120DPI (125%, as the screen is physically small for such high resolution).

Thank you in advance for any assistance or pointers.

Call DoCmd.Restore
and
Call DoCmd.Maximise
are the commands you need. In the OnOpen event of the form should do you.

Whoops Sorry everyone!!!
I just searced this site and found an answer that works for me on this discussion:

Re: Form Size (But not DoCmd.Maximize / Minimize)

i.e. set pop-up property to Yes in the forms design view.
So thanks for providing such a great site!!

Thanks NeoPa

I'll try that too. I knew about DoCmd.Maximize but have never run across DoCmd.Restore.

Again many thanks.
