Action Tracking

P: n/a
My application is mostly about performing analyses on data: looking for
errors/problems/potential savings, etc.

I would like to create a form where a user can create action items for
themselves, so that the next time they open the app, they will be able to see
a list of action items that they need to resolve.

I have a number of forms from which a user might want to create action items
for themselves. I was thinking about launching the action item creation form
from my custom main menu bar.

When I launch the action item creation form, is there a way to tell which
form had the focus just prior to the launching of the action item creation
form. I would like to automatically populate some fields on the action item
creation form, based on fields in the form that had the focus just prior to
launching the action item creation form. I won't be able to do this for all
forms, but there are a number of important forms where it would be nice to do
this.

Thanks.

Presumably your toolbar button calls a function that could use:
Screen.ActiveForm.Name
to determine which form was active at the time.

Naturally it would need to do this before opening your next form.
