Help with Date and Time

84
I need some help with a date/time field. We run several processing jobs each day. The start and end times are stored in separate columns. The data is stored as date and time. I want to run a query that will sum the total run time of the jobs over a period of several days.

Currently I get the run time by subtracting the end time from the start time. I use the short time format to get it to display the time only.

Ex. 11/30/2006 03:15:00 pm - 11/30/2006 01:15:00 pm. My display shows 2:00:00.

If I run a query using a date range of 15 days and sum the run time its exceeds 24 hours. Instead of displaying 30:00:00 it displays 06:00:00. How can I dispay the total run time when it exceeds 24 hours?

I am running this query in MS Access 2003.
