auto populate

Hi,

I'm still struggling with my tables - frustrating.

If a field in table one is completed I want the following field to auto
populate (dependng on the answer to the first field). I have created a
seperate table with the data to auto populate from but I don't have a
clue.

If you could answer with baby language i'd appreciate it! Or e-mail
ke*********@diageo.com for more complex info.

I hate this to look like i'm using everybody here to build my database
but i've tried looking everywhere - i can't understand most of it even
though i've read and access book!

Sorry, and thanks

No, You don't.

When you need to see or use this data you will establish a relationship
between the two tables and you will gather the data together with a
query.

Thankyou so much. I finally managed to create a (very simple now I
know) one to many relationship between the tables and a query that
brings together the info I want & "autopopulates" my field. Yippee!!!

Thanks to everyone for pointing me in the right direction and showing
me what to do.
