create textbox dynamically for a report through VBA

P: 15
Hi All,

I'm a newbie. I know this question might sound simple, but i haven't been able to resolve it, so i seek your adivce.

I'm trying to add a dynamic textbox to a report through VBA.

Background: This report is for a library database, In which a user's request can consist of multiple signouts of different manuals. Therefore say for Request 1, the user signs out Manual 1and Manual 2. I want to be able to programatically create another textbox and place the name of Manuals 2 in there for that record. That way, if a request has 10 Manuals attached to it, It created 10 textboxes to place each manual's name in.

Highly appreciate the help folks.

Hmm, I would probably offer the user a ReportRequest form with a datasheet subform with a table with the Manuals and a PrintYesNo field.

Now the user can check the needed manual(s) and for the report I can build a query joining the table from the datasheet subform by the Manual ID and add the criteria that the PrintYesNo field is True.

Now for the report use this query and only checked manuals will be printed.

Getting the idea ?
