Snapshot Files in IE

Hi Folks

Has anyone solved the problem of opening a snapshot file from a
hyperlink held in a datqabase field on a web page?

I can open ".pdf's", ".rtf's", ".txt" files however if I try to open a
snapshot file in the same way I get the following!

First it opens the Open Save or Cancel! dialog box
Then on pressing Open it Opens the Save Cancel dialog box with a
comment of

THe file you are downloading cannot be opened by the default program.
It is either corrupted or it has an incorrect file type. As a security
precaution, it is recommended that you canel the download.

Any Ideas where I switch off this security madness!!
