=Date() no longer updating

P: n/a
I seem to be having a problem with the default value of a field being
updated on entry of a form. I have the default value in the field as
=Date() but it does not update with the current date. Any suggestions
as to how this can be fixed?

thanks

Is this a record that already exists? Or is your post in reference to
new records only?

Default values are for new recs only. In your form's BeForeUpdate event
you could have some code like
If IsNull(Me.DateFieldName) Then Me.DateFieldName = Date
