Don't Drop Down Combo Box

I have the following code in the NotInList event of my combo box:
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1.    Me.cboQuestionNumber.Undo
  2.    MsgBox "That is not a valid Control Number for the questions you have " _
  3.      & "selected to have displayed. You may need to alter your search criteria " _
  4.      & "to find this question."
  5.    Response = 0
  6.
This works fine except that it opens up the combo box to show the users what selections are available. How do I keep the combo box from opening up?

Thanks!

The nature of a combobox is to drop down. If you don't want the users to see this change it to a textbox and use some other way to check for the value like a DLookup in the after update event of the textbox.

If this doesn't suit for some reason, tell me the logic behind what you're doing and I'll try to come up with another solution.
