Visual Studio Package wizard

P: n/a
I hope that there is someone here that can help me. It's not directly
related to this group but maybe someone here can help me. I wanted to
deploy my Access database to another pc using the Access 2003 Developer
Extensions. Check the web and found out that it is part of Visual
Studio Tools for the Microsoft Office System, which in turn is a free
add-on to Visual Studio 2005. Bought Visual Studio 2005 Pro. (Plenty
money right there). Installed Visual Studio 2005 Pro. Downloaded VSTO
2005 SE. Installed VSTO 2005 SE.

Now this is what grinds my bones.

Where do I find the package wizard?
>From http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/lib...fice.11).aspx:
To start the Package Wizard, click Start, point to Programs (or All
Programs), point to Microsoft Office, point to Microsoft Office Access
2003 Developer Extensions, and then click Package Wizard.

Mmm. Not there. Nothing new on my computer but the Visual Studio Pro
(Plenty money, remember). Start up Visual Studio and the VSTO's are
listed as installed components. For the life of me I cannot find out
how to deploy a Access mdb, mde using this product.

So, what am I doing wrong? Where do I find this Package Wizard? Or,
where can I find the Access Developer Extensions for download? This
should have been in existence sometime?

There are several versions of VSTO and most of them come with the Access
Developer Extensions, but not all of them. Instead of getting the "add on"
feature for another product, you need to buy VSTO, which is a separate
product from Visual Studio Pro

You don't download it. It's on a CD that comes in the package when you buy a
VSTO version that includes Access Developer Extensions.

Thanks Granny Spitz.

As soon as you mentioned it, I saw that I was being a bit hasty in my
purchase.

You're welcome. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news that you have to plunk
down even more money. Both products are pricey.
