Charts don't appear when they should

Lately I've been noticing that charts that are created in my application
don't always appear. When they don't appear, it is a consistent
nonappearance. But then if I close the app and reopen it, the charts will
now appear. It's as though the OLE call is failing sometimes. No code
errors are generated, it's just that when clicking on the button to create
the chart, it doesn't appear, even though it should.

Has anyone else experienced this problem? The charts are created by using a
chart object on the form and in code simply setting the source for the chart
equal to an SQL statement.

Thanks.

That's right. I don't even have any charts but they don't appear anyway.

Oh, me, oh, my. I guess I should have been reporting as error those
"things" I don't have that don't appear, anyway. We live and learn, I guess.

I posed the question hoping that someone might have had a similar experience
and maybe found a solution that involved an update of some component, etc. I
forgot to mention that I've noticed this problem since converting from A2K to
A2003.

I haven't, myself. What I did find with my major app was that creating
chart objects in A2003 and then writing code to change various
properties and characteristics by user choice did NOT work for all chart
properties. IN my case, I was copying my code from a previous A97 app
that had worked nicely. In the end, converting the A97 app (the chart
part) 20 2003 would work as it had in 97, but then changing any code
screwed it all up. What I ended up doing was simply converting from A97
and leaving it. My references are for MS Graph 11. I never
investigated this further as my 2003 app workks fine.

Might be something similar causing the problem, I don't know.
