Hi one of the system objects in system.mdw is MsysAccounts and the contents are:

FGroup Name Password SID
0 admin
-1 Admins
0 Creator
0 Engine
-1 Users

So if I can Copy / Paste this info here u are supposed that you can do it the same with Word ;)

From the Tools menu select Security / User and Group Accounts... to print off the data.
To export, use PEB's method.
Passwords are encrypted so won't be sensible data, and permissions only relate to this from the various objects in your database.
I expect that's stored somewhere in the MSys... tables of your database, but all I could find were an Owner field in MSysObjects. You may find some more but it's not obvious.

The permissions aren't very obvious...
It seems they are in different tables and are well coded
For MSysACEs that seems like this:
ACM FInheritable ObjectId SID
20 0 -2147483648

maybe there is relation with the permissions... But can't establish connection...

In fact only in those tables you can see a data type Binary! That you can't choose from the list!

What i can suggest you about permissions is to get the information of all system tables...

Than create permission and see what and where is changed... This is the sure way to get information about the permissions are stored..

And what do you think about the binary type here???/

Vlad,

I think it means that Access doesn't want us to fiddle.
I would recommend that anyone who isn't very confident of their understanding and ability should not even go here.
You can play there Vlad (and I don't mind a little delve every now and again) but I wouldn't suggest we direct anyone else in that direction.

In fact I've had a little look before this topic came up and I wasn't able to find anything here that I could use to my advantage. Some info, but not enough to make it worth my while to progress any further, so I gave up.

Ok you've right Adrian!

You know when u see something that u'ven't seen before you're curious ... to decorticate it... like Da Vinci the human body!

But you've right!

I can't suggest anything for the list of permissions...

The last thing... see in Ms Access documentator... maybe there is something!

There certainly is Vlad - and it's in RTF format too - easily transferred to Word.
That's the solution! :)
