MS access on a network

I have inherited an ms access application for maintenance work, I have only coded cobol mainframe previously. The Access application is linked to tables on sql server with ODBC. Can several users access the one ms access application on the network or must each workstation be installed with the app.
Thanks

It depends of your application!

In certain cases when there is a few data and not complicated queries and reports that are modified in function of current user you can use the same app for all users...

But if it is a powerful system i can't belive that one copy can do the work well!

So if it is big application do a copy on each computer...

Also for big applications you can place some user data on local machine to accelerate the connections and exchange of information in the network...

Remember that less network charge, fast queries, fast execution, better performance!

But in the network it isn't the case!

So for big application i suggest you to place the Access application on each computer!
