Access Queries!!!!!

Hi, I'm the IT Specialist for a small company in Puerto Rico. I'm trying to create a query so that I can specify the values from a drop down list. Example: [enter name:] gives you the parameter value pop up window whenever you try to run the selected query. I want to know if a can add a formula so I can have the parameter value like a drop down list so the user doesn't have to enter data only select it before running a query? I'll appreciate the help.

A typical way to do this is to have a form with a ComboBox from which the operator can select the value.
On the click of a button that you add to the form, the code behind the button executes code which extracts the SQL from the query, amends it to update the WHERE clause then runs it using DoCmd.RunSQL.
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. strSQL = CurrentDb.QueryDefs("YourQueryName").SQL
