Can i Create index on csv Linked table.

Hi,

I have csv linked table in MSAccess which has 3,50,000 records, before importing into local table i need to validate with static details, and I have only 1 inner join and there is no where conidtion.
It is taking almost 15 mins to import, can i create index on Link table ?
is there a better way to improve the performance ?

Thanks & Regards.

In short - No.
If you are linking then adding the data to another table, Access will take the time necessary to build up the new index data for faster access in future references.

You could try importing to a temp table first without validating. Then create an index or ideally a primary key on the temp table and validate the records in an append query to the new table. This may improve the speed.
