access in intranet

Hi all,

What should i da to use the acess in intranet. If this is possible then give me some idea to do this & estabilish this in my office campus. Only 10 personal computer are go to connect give me an solution..


I have seen the previouse thread but i am not satisfied we that answers..

Hi,

If you need to use Access databases in your office that is located at 1 place with LAN connections or WiFi, you can put your databases in a machine that is used as Server and will work all the time when there is users that want to use your Access database!

In Tools/Options/Advanced assign default open mode as Shared
On the General Tab assign Compact on Close option

And the respective database is ready to be used from multi users!

In case youwant to administer the rights of your database /s in Access,

So there is a couple of other options that you should Set:
Choose from Options Workgroup Administrator and Create an System.mdw file using it on the Server machine

Then join all computers that have to have access to the database to this file

Then you are ready to administer your permissions! Always from Options!
