Access Database Security Permissions

I inheirited a Access database originally created in Access 2000 and converted to 2003. I am trying to delete duplicate table entries using the Microsoft tutorial, but always end up getting a message that I don't have delete permissions for "MySystemObjects" or words to that effect.
How do I determine what permissions are present, and how can I change the database permissions? (I can change permissions for tables, etc.)

Assuming permissions are set up using Access Security you will have to change your permissions for the database to include delete.

Are you sure you WANT to delete items from "MySystemObjects"?
These are not user tables.
