Help with default values

P: 1
Can I use the default value in the properties of a table to do a calculation in the table? I have a field named [account balance]. I would like the field value to be [sum of invoices] - [sum of payments]. payments and invoices are in other tables I have a query that provides the sums of each. If this can be done what is the proper syntax?

Hi,

Promptly no!

This is impossible... Those values have to be set programatically when apending or updateing the respective record.

This staff isn't like Excel! ;)
