Dear friends,

Dear Friends.

Iím working financial software and my database is single user. Is it possible to convert it in to a multi-user database? If it is possible, can you tell me how?

Yeah,

It's suffisent to be open in shared mode.. Not exclusive mode...

IHowever if your application is heavy this can give you some problems when you have many users....

So thing for front end - back end application,

In this kind of applications the database with tables is centred and the the aplication is installed on the machine of each user...

So in the network is transfered only the exchanged data between the applications and the database... This approach can help you a lot if you decide to upsize your database to SQL server for exemple!

Best regards

Go to Tools - Options and the Advanced tab. Change Exclusive to Shared. I suggest you also set Default Record Locking to Edited Record. This means that if a user is editing a record no other user can write to it.
