Importing from Access to MapPoint

P: 1
I am currently using the trial version of MapPoint 2006 and I am having problems mapping data from Access queries. When importing a query, MapPoint does not match any of the fields to the map. I've done several things to the query: made sure the field properties were right, made sure all the lat/longs were there for every row, etc. I have been copying/pasting the Access queries into Excel and importing the Excel tables works just fine. I can also import the same Access query when it is in a table format. However, I want to be able to directly link the queries up to the map. Microsoft Support won't help me over the phone because I'm using a trial version.
