Help: Linking Child & Parent Forms with a 'Partial' value.

P: 1
I have an access database that has two main elements;
-Client Detail
-Properties

To expalin my problem as sussinctly as possible may be difficult but here i go...

I have created a form called 'Client and Property Search'. This form has 2 sub forms (child forms);
-client sbform
-property search sbform

'Client sbform then has its own sub form 'client search sbform'.

I have linked master and child forms so that there is a text box where you enter a surname then when you hit enter it lists all the clients with that surname on the 'client search sbform'. This has also been done for the properties side of things too.

The downfall with it is that i have to enter the whole surname or street address, depending on what i am searching. Is it possible that i can have it so that it will find results with only a partial entry, even if I have to use the * key i dont mind.

The second issue is that i can only link the child and master forms via one field. Well i can enter in the properties another field and it lets me do it but when i go in to use it it does not work. This would be great as it would then allow me to search for properties via street, suburb or webid.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

thanks.

PS i can email screen shots if that helps??
