Opening a new instance of Access along with the mdb

P: n/a
I have searched the forum and can't see where I am going wrong here.
The first part of my statement works fine.
When I add beyond the "&" it breaks ... not finding the file. It's
there and it's named correctly.

stAppName = "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\MSACCESS.EXE" &
"S:\Shared\Access\mydb.mdb"
Call Shell(stAppName, 1)

Any ideas where I am going wrong?

Thanks
WJ

There needs to be a space between the application name and the path to the
MDB file. You've concatenated two strings together without that space.

I swear that I die on quotes and spaces in my code.
Thanks Granny S!
Works like a charm.

Now I can get rid of that nasty batch file that we are using currently.

Cheers,
Will Bill
