Unbound OLE and Acrobat

P: n/a
I have done research and still cannot find a solution to this problem.
I am hoping to get a response that is anything other than 'why would
you do that' :)

I have a need to with VBA create an unbound OLE control that will
display an embedded acrobat document. If I do this using the button on
the tools toolbar I am able to complete this perfectly. I have tried
the createcontrol or createreportcontrol (with report) function with no
luck. The best that I got was using the createcontrol and the PDF would
appear only in report view, in design view it appeared as a white box.

It is important that the document be displayed in report design view
because I am required to draw other controls on top of the OLE control.
Does anyone have any suggestions for how to automate this in a way that
I can pass the path and file name to get the PDF to become embedded as
well as display while in design view? Any help is much appreciated.
